We are delighted to support a new initiative which RPLTC have been selected to pilot, entitled ‘I Play 30.’ The proposal is to target people with learning disabilities/ the disabled to come to the club at scheduled times each week and take part in an organised tennis session. The sessions are free of charge and will be led by volunteers and the coaching team to provide an opportunity for this segment to exercise for at least 30 minutes a week through tennis.

Former British Davis Cup player and friend to the club Danny Sapsford is leading the campaign, entitled ‘I play 30’ through his charity Bright Ideas for Tennis and we are 1 club of 5 in Surrey who have been approached to help.

The sessions will run on Wednesdays 14:00-15:00 and Saturdays at 18:00-19:00, with a start date of Wednesday 27th and Saturday 30th September.

These sessions are open to any members of the public who fall into this category and would like to come and try tennis in one of the most picturesque clubs in the country. The support from our members has been fantastic and it will ensure each session is well supported with volunteers to ensure you get the most out of it and a warm welcome.

To book, please click here and fill in the online form, which is essential before coming along.
