The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is in communication with the Government and other relevant organisations regarding the coronavirus, and has been advised there is presently no reason people should stop doing their daily sport and physical activities as they normally would. This applies to tennis, and so tennis activities in Britain can continue as normal. Therefore, we are planning to keep both our adult and junior tennis programme running as normal.
We are taking some additional measures to help keep the court environment as healthy as possible:
- Please stay away if you are not well and have been in contact with someone with coronavirus or have returned from an affected area identified by the Chief Medical Officer as high risk.
- Please wash your hands with soap and water BEFORE playing/ coaching sessions. Coaches will stop giving 'high fives' and instead give high 'boes' at the end of lessons and our usual words of encouragement throughout.
- We will ask players not to shake hands at the end of a game.
- Coaches will be cleaning equipment that has been handled and shared, including racket handles of any rackets loaned out by us.
If you have any questions please call Head Coach, Russell Dykes - 07870271247 or email russell@rpltc.co.uk
