We are delighted to announce the exciting news that our artificial clay courts are now available to play on.
Remember, to ensure the longevity of the surface we have placed 6 drag mats and 3 line brushes on the courts, hanging on the fence, which must be used at the end of your match or session ready for the next players to use the court. There are diagrams by the gates to show you how to sweep the courts and please return the mats to the hooks on the fences in a safe position. Should you be first on court and there are leaves or foliage on court there is a green drag mat (Aussie clean sweep) that needs to be used to remove this from the surface.
There will be a few weeks whilst the infill settles into the artificial clay fibres below and the contractors have advised there might be a few creases, but it will all settle over the next few weeks.
We hope you enjoy playing on our new surface and thank you for your patience over the last couple of weeks disruption.
Remember our official opening court ceremony will be on Saturday 13th October with former British No.1 and TV commentator Sam Smith kindly agreeing to give a talk and provide a short Q&A session from 14:00. Please come and join us.
