Community Outreach at Reigate Priory Lawn Tennis Club

At Reigate Priory Lawn Tennis Club, we are deeply committed to fostering a love for tennis across our local community. Our outreach initiatives aim to make tennis accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. Here’s how we are connecting with our community:

1. School Partnerships

We have established strong, ongoing coaching links with several local schools, reaching hundreds of children each week. Our partnerships provide students with an opportunity to learn tennis in a fun and supportive environment, helping to develop their skills and confidence.

  • Reigate Parish Church Community School
  • Reigate Priory School
  • Reigate St Mary’s School
  • Reigate Grammar School

Our team of professional coaches delivers tailored sessions that introduce tennis fundamentals and encourage a lifelong interest in the sport. By engaging with children at a young age, we aim to promote healthy, active lifestyles and inspire the next generation of tennis players.

2. Disability Tennis Coaching

Inclusivity is at the heart of our community outreach efforts. We are proud to offer weekly disability tennis coaching sessions at Brooklands SEN School. Each week, a different group of children from the school enjoy a free tennis session led by our Head Coach, Russell, and a dedicated team of volunteers.

These sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and adapted to the needs of each group, ensuring that all participants can experience the joy of playing tennis. Through this initiative, we aim to make tennis accessible to children with special educational needs and provide a positive, inclusive experience.

3. Try Tennis Membership

Our  Try Tennis Membership program is designed to open the doors of our club to the entire community. We invite all adult members of the local community to experience what our club has to offer through this special introductory offer:

  • Three Free Coaching Sessions: New members can enjoy three complimentary coaching sessions tailored to beginners or those returning to tennis.
  • Three Months of Full Playing Adult Membership: For just £75.00, participants receive three months of full playing membership, allowing them to access all club facilities, join social sessions, and participate in club events.

This initiative is a fantastic way for community members to get involved, try out tennis, and meet new people in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our Commitment to Community

Our outreach programs are driven by a commitment to make tennis accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Whether it’s through our school partnerships, disability coaching, or Try Tennis Membership, we believe that tennis should be a sport for all. We are proud to be a vibrant, community-minded club and look forward to welcoming more people from the Reigate area to join us on the courts.
