Last Saturday saw the conclusion of the club’s Open Tournament.

Claire Wiley won her 5th title in a row, defeating Kerry Johnson in 2 sets. In the men’s singles, Mani Penades Fons won his first title at the club defeating Tim Austin 6-3, 6-2.

The ladies doubles was won by Susie Taylor and Lucy Hamilton who defeated Kerry Johnson and Catherine Hartshorn in the only three-setter of the day. Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles, Josh Howell and Tim Austin won their second title in a row, defeating Mani Penades Fons and David Leech.

In the mixed doubles, Kerry Johnson and Tim Austin stepped on court for their third match of the day and defeated Claire Wiley and David Leech.

A BBQ and an England victory were more than a fitting end to a great day of tennis.
