The nominations are in, the committee has considered your suggestions, and we can now reveal the shortlist for RPLTC’s 2026 Most Improved Player.
This year, we opened the nominations up to the whole membership, giving everyone the opportunity to recognise a fellow player who they felt had made significant progress on court throughout the season.
We were delighted with the response and received a fantastic selection of nominations, highlighting the improvement, commitment and hard work of players across the club.
After reviewing all the nominations, the committee has selected four players for this year’s shortlist:
Carter, Connie, Kim, and Nicky

Congratulations to all four nominees.
Being named on the shortlist is a fantastic achievement and recognises the progress each player has made over the course of the season.
A Special Mention for Our Other Nominees
While Carter, Connie, Kim and Nicky make up our 2026 shortlist, we also want to give a special honourable mention to the other players who received nominations and were recognised for the progress they’ve made this season.
A big shout-out goes to Euan W., Ian C., Kelly P., Lillian A., Miles C., Maryanne M., Gill H., Nick D., Helen T., Edyta G., Liz T. and Erin S.
It’s fantastic to see so many members being recognised by their fellow players. The nominations were a great reminder of just how much improvement happens across the club throughout the season, whether through competitive matches, regular club sessions, doubles, team tennis or simply putting in the hours on court.
Congratulations to everyone who received a nomination. It’s a brilliant achievement to have your fellow club members recognise your progress.
The hardest part for the committee was choosing the winner!
The 2026 Most Improved Player will be announced at our End of Season Party on 12th September, where we’ll celebrate another great year of tennis at RPLTC.
