Tennis Club Halloween Social

RPLTC was alive with Halloween spirit last week as members of all ages gathered for some spooktacular tennis club fun.

The festivities began on Halloween day with a fantastic junior Halloween social-tons of spooky fun and incredible costumes from our young ghouls and goblins! A huge thank you to Russell and his team of coaches and helpers for putting on these super fun, free events for all our junior members.

Following the junior event, Friday Club’s Halloween Social night was an absolute hit, full of warmth and camaraderie that we’ve come to cherish at our gatherings.

A big highlight of the evening was the food. Clive treated us to his legendary lasagne, a dish that disappeared quickly as everyone savored its rich flavors. Clarissa’s pumpkin cheesecake also made waves – smooth, decadent, and the perfect finish to our Halloween feast.

Adding to the excitement, we were fortunate to have front row seats for the Old Reigatians’ spectacular fireworks display. The sky lit up with brilliant colors and bursts of light, creating a stunning backdrop for our celebrations.

The night had its share of winners too! The ever-lucky Glen claimed the raffle’s cash prize of £50, while Jean took home the second prize, a bottle of fine wine. Congratulations to both for their wins!

One small hiccup in the evening was that our hosts, Mars and Britt, forgot to announce our best-dressed winner. After discussing it the next day, they’ve crowned Will and Hilary as joint winners. Both made a fantastic effort with their costumes, and we will ensure you receive your prize soon – well done!

If you haven’t been to one of our social events yet, we warmly encourage you to take the plunge! We are a fun and friendly bunch, and there’s always room for new faces. Whether you’re joining for the food, the prizes, or the chance to connect, we’d be delighted to have you as part of the festivities. Come and experience the welcoming spirit that makes our club so special!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to making this event happen. Firstly to those who attend on the evening – your enthusiastic participation is the key to its success. And also to those who made food (Clive, Clarissa, Hilary, Mars, Britt), helped with set up, or stayed late to clean up, your efforts made the evening special. These gatherings are only possible with the generosity and time of our club members.

Looking ahead, Friday Club will return in January. We can’t wait to see you all then for more great times and community fun. Until then, keep the spirit of togetherness going!
