Saturday 02 July, saw the culmination of the RPLTC Open Tournament. There were two new Open Champions after Tim Austin defeated David Leech and Magda D’Ingeo defeated Kerry Johnson (in a role-reversal of the Vets Final). In the doubles, Tim Austin and David Leech picked up their first title together defeating Jamie Addison and Nico Du Preez while Lucy Hamilton and Susie Taylor won their second successive tile after overcoming Hilary Austin and Claire Wiley. In the mixed doubles, David Leech and Claire Wiley won their second mixed title after defeating finalist debutants Ben Lacey and Kerry Johnson.
Thank you to all the spectators who came down to watch and made a great atmosphere, supporting all the players and to the volunteers who helped to umpire and serve food and drinks.
